The 53rd annual meeting of the History of Economic Thought Society (THETS) will be held exceptionally in France at the University of Grenoble Alpes, hosted by the Center of Research in Economics of Grenoble (CREG) from the

30th of August to the 1st of September 2023.

THETS is one of the longest established groups of scholars with an interest in the history of economic thought, the history of economics and economic knowledge. Annual meetings have been organized since 1968. 

Papers dealing with any aspect of the history of economics from any period are welcome. We encourage submissions from disciplines across the humanities and social sciences. We also welcome papers taking a non-European or global perspective. Presentations by PhD students and early career scholars are particularly encouraged. The Society will make available a limited number of stipends to cover part of the cost of attendance for young scholars.

Important dates: Abstract proposals (200 words min.) or full papers should be sent to adrien.faudot@univ-grenoble-alpes.fr by 30th April 2023.

Proposals should have “THETS Grenoble 2023” in the subject line. Please attach a copy of your CV if you wish to be considered for a young scholar stipend.

Notifications will be sent by the 15th of May 2023.
Full papers are expected by the 15th of August 2023.
